GOVERNANCE CSR - ISO26000
In CIRFOOD we consider the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability fully strategic to our business. We are convinced that only by implementing sustainable development policies from an economic, environmental, social and cultural point of view, and through a continuous dialogue with our stakeholders, is it possible to achieve business resilience.
Social Responsibility has always accompanied our corporate history, integrating and guiding our way of doing business.
However, "being socially responsible" is not only a matter of sharing values, it also requires a systematic approach that involves defining key objectives, implementing the consequent activities and actions, and measuring the level and effectiveness of the objectives over time, thus undertaking a process of continuous improvement.
The social responsibility of organizations must be fully integrated into the various processes and activities carried out by organizations both internally and externally.
For this reason, CIRFOOD has been using the ISO 26000 standard for some years now as a reference for managing its own system of implementation of Social Responsibility aspects and submits it annually to evaluation by a third party.
In particular, the assessment has covered the following themes:
- Human Rights
- Relationships and working conditions
- Correct Management Practices
- Specific aspects relating to Consumers
- Community Involvement and Development
The assessment was conducted by applying the following criteria:
- STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
- IMPLEMENTATION AND INTEGRATION
- MONITORING AND CONTROL
