DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION – ISO 30415:2021

CIRFOOD is a worker and production cooperative that has chosen to adopt a democratic and participatory development model based on respect, inclusion, pluralism, active collaboration, sharing, and solidarity. For us, cooperation means contributing our individual knowledge and skills to the community to achieve a common goal together. For this reason, at CIRFOOD, we consistently prioritize the collective good over individual goals, encouraging the exchange of opinions and experiences and valuing diversity as an opportunity for mutual enrichment and growth.

To this end, we consider it strategic to encourage, on the one hand, inclusive behaviors from every individual, regardless of their role or organizational level, and on the other, to incorporate and apply an inclusion perspective in organizational decisions, strategy, and corporate culture.

In implementing this perspective and our commitment to fostering an inclusive organization, we have chosen to adhere to the guidelines outlined in the ISO 30415:2021 standard, submitting our evaluation to a third party.

The investigated requirements include:

  • Recognizing diversity: Evaluating all individuals intrinsically, both individually and as groups; appreciating how the various dimensions of diversity intersect; and acknowledging that demographic and other personal characteristics may be legally and regulatory protected.
  • Effective governance: Exemplifying and promoting leadership’s commitment to D&I through inclusive systems, policies, processes, practices, and governance operations.
  • Acting responsibly: Acting ethically and socially responsibly, promoting productive employment and decent work for all.
  • Working inclusively: Enabling and fostering an accessible and respectful workplace that encourages inclusion and a sense of belonging.
  • Communicating inclusively: Recognizing and addressing the needs of individuals who access, understand, and engage with communications in diverse ways.
  • Supporting and advocating for D&I: Actively influencing and promoting inclusive organizational practices and stakeholder relations.
