Energy efficiency - ISO 50001

The overall objective of standard ISO 50001 is to set up systems and processes that are helpful in improving energy efficiency. In addition to covering current legislative obligations, the Energy Management System introduces additional requirements that the company must comply with to implement a systemic approach towards the continuous improvement of its energy efficiency.
More specifically, understanding that by only implementing sustainable development policies and in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN’s Agenda 2030, CIRFOOD is committed to achieving the following goals:

• to improve our energy performance;
• to curb and, where possible, reduce the consumption of natural resources;
• to support the design and purchase of energy-efficient products and services to improve energy performance.
