FOOD SAFETY – FSSC 22000
The FSSC 22000 – Food Safety System Certification 22000 is a scheme designed for the food industry, owned by the FSSC – Foundation of Food Safety Certification, and recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Its goal is to ensure the highest standards of food safety throughout the entire production chain. The GFSI promotes the continuous improvement of food safety management systems on a global scale.
Based on the international standard ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 includes additional elements to the Prerequisite Program (PRP) and specific requirements aimed at ensuring the consistency and integrity of the management system. It represents a natural evolution for companies already certified to ISO 22000 that seek broader international recognition in food safety.
